Easy As 1, 2, 3

I'm starting this new category called Easy As 1,2,3 which will have nothing but recipes that are quick, easy and delicious.  Ever since we ordered the chocolate croissants at one of our local favorite restaurants, Tyler has been bugging me to make them.  The problem is that making puff pastry isn't exactly easy and is little on the time consuming side.  That's when it hit me there are people that don't have 2 or 3 hours to spend on baking like mothers or women with very demanding careers.  So here's my thinking: this category will always have creative but quick and simple recipes for you very busy women and men out there.
Chocolate Croissants
1 package of Hershey Milk Chocolate Chips
1 sheet Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry (thawed)
1 egg (lightly beaten)

Preheat oven to 400F.  Take thawed puff pastry and cut into 4 inch strips.  Then take half a hand full of chocolate chips and place at one end of pastry. Fold once over then add another half hand full of chips. Continue folding over until you get to the end. Make sure to leave approximately 1/4 cup of chocolate for garnish. Place pastry on baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush puff pastry with egg wash and bake for 20-25 minute or until golden brown.  Once out of the oven take remaining chocolate chips and place in a double boiler and melt down.  Using a spoon drizzle over pastry and serve!
