I couldn't wait to go back

Oh, my sweet NYC.  Have you ever seen the t-shirt that says "I can't afford to love NY"?  Well that's me.  New York is one of the most exciting and memorable places you can go in your life but it'll cost you a pretty penny.  Thank God for amazing mothers because that was the only way I was ever going to be able to enjoy this city again.  My mom had never been so when she asked Tyler and I to take her there we jumped at the opportunity to go back.  Who wouldn't? We stayed in the Chelsea district for the second time and yep, I am in love with that area. It's so close to everything, but also pushed back enough from the insane touristy area known as Times Square and the hustle and bustle of the business district so it's got a little homeyness to it. It's amazing! We have been there 3 times now, and I still feel like I haven't even seen half of what the city has to offer.  This time around a did a-lot of touristy things like visiting the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, The Metropolitan Museum (which I'm sure people have gotten lost in before...it's huge), American Museum of Natural History (def need to check out the Journey to the Stars show - words can't describe how awesome it was), and of course the Statue of Liberty.  We also made our way to the broadway show 'Rock of Ages'.  I never got around to seeing the movie, but I think the movie would have ruined the play for me so I'm glad.  The first broadway show I went to was American Idiot and yes it's still my favorite.  I will miss NY greatly but I won't miss all the walking running I did around the city.  My poor legs :(
